Nairobi's iconic Uhuru Park was transformed into a bustling epicenter of spiritual energy for five days. Rhema Feast 2025, an annual gathering founded by Reverend Julian Kyula's Ruach Ministries, drew an impressive daily attendance of over 10,000 believers. Under the guiding theme, “I Will Build My Church,” the non-denominational event was an immersive spiritual marathon, with worship sessions and sermons stretching from early morning until late into the night. It was an experience that moved far beyond the traditional sermon, fostering a collective, palpable sense of revival that resonated throughout the city.
The atmosphere at the Feast was electric, a testament to the power of communal worship. Attendees were met with praise teams whose anthems ignited a fire in the crowd. As night fell, thousands of believers raised their phones, their flashlights creating a constellation of stars that lit up the expansive grounds under the night sky. The stage welcomed gospel royalty from across Africa, including Kenya's Kambua, Evelyn Wanjiru, and Kestin Mbogo, alongside international sensations like Tanzania's Bella Kombo and Nigeria’s Sinach. When Nigeria's Nathaniel Bassey took the stage, the mood reached a euphoric peak as he played his trumpet, leading the crowd in a soul-stirring rendition of his hits like "Imela" and "Onise Iyanu."
The spiritual sustenance was not limited to music. The Feast featured a distinguished roster of ministers, each delivering messages that inspired and challenged the faithful. The pinnacle of the event came on the final two days with Apostle Joshua Selman, who delivered a profound exposition on the architecture and pillars of the apostolic church. His teachings were complemented by contributions from respected ministers such as Bishop Funke Felix Adejumo, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, and Bishop Kathy Kiuna, ensuring a rich and diverse spiritual experience for all attendees. The younger generation found a voice in Pastor Anthony Mwangi, popularly known as "Pastor T," whose modern message resonated deeply with Kenya's youth.

Perhaps the most unexpected and memorable moment of the event came on the final day, when Apostle James Ng’ang’a, known to his fans as "Commander," made a surprise appearance. Following a roaring ovation from the crowd, Ng'ang'a took the podium, clad in his trademark purple suit and red cap. Speaking mainly in Swahili, he shared a brief, heartfelt testimony about his "limited" formal education, declaring with pride, “I’m not learned, but I have Jesus.” His message resonated deeply, proving that authentic faith and a powerful testimony transcend formal titles and polished sermons.
As the thousands of believers dispersed from Uhuru Park, the echoes of songs, prayers, and unity lingered. With live streams on 19 platforms and hashtags like #RhemaFeast2025 trending online, the event's impact was amplified far beyond the physical grounds.
