Nairobi is bracing for a surge of music and excitement as the MadfunXperience event takes over Uhuru Gardens on March 1st, featuring Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy. With thousands expected to attend, the city anticipates significant traffic congestion and a vibrant atmosphere.
Organizers are implementing comprehensive measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, but attendees should prepare for potential traffic challenges.
For those seeking an elevated experience, VVIP tickets are available for Sh65,000, offering premium access to Burna Boy's electrifying performance. The artist, known for hits like "Ye" and "Last Last," will be accompanied by his 40-member band, The Outsiders, renowned for their dynamic live performances featuring live horns and pulsating drums.
The Tribe Hotel is providing special accommodation packages for Burna Boy and his entourage, as well as international fans. Additionally, a special Uber code is available for discounted rides to the concert.
Local artists, including Charisma, Bensoul, and South African DJ/producer Virgo Deep, will also perform, adding to the diverse musical lineup.
Attendees should be aware that Lang'ata Road, Likoni Road, and the Southern Bypass are expected to experience heavy traffic as attendees converge on Uhuru Gardens. Gates open at 3:00 PM, and the event concludes at 9:00 PM. Arriving early is recommended to avoid congestion. Public transportation, including Uber, matatus, and boda bodas, is recommended due to limited parking at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
It is also important for attendees to know that professional cameras, video recording devices, selfie sticks, outside food and beverages, weapons, illegal drugs, and non-retractable umbrellas are prohibited. Organizers are implementing strict security measures following recent security breaches at other events.
The MadfunXperience represents a significant event in Kenya's entertainment scene, emphasizing the importance of safety and security. Attendees are encouraged to adhere to organizers' guidelines and cooperate to ensure a successful and enjoyable event."
