The world of Afrobeats is defined by its ability to evolve, and few artists embody this more than Olamide and Wizkid. Exactly 15 years after their first collaboration on the hit song "Omo To Shan," the duo has reunited on the track "Billionaires Club," and the newly released music video is a visual spectacle that marks a significant new chapter. The video, released on August 14, 2025, and directed by Jyde Ajala, is a celebration of the high-flying superstar lifestyle, filled with flashy visuals of skeet shooting, expensive Cuban cigars, and luxury cars—a perfect cinematic accompaniment to the song's grand title.
"Billionaires Club," which also features the talents of British-Nigerian artist Darkoo, is a standout track from Olamide’s latest self-titled album. Released on June 18, 2025, the album is a landmark project in Olamide's career, his 11th solo project and 15th overall. It's a testament to his longevity and his enduring place as one of Nigeria's biggest artists, maintaining his relevance over a career that has spanned a decade and a half.

This new project, however, showcases a different side of the artist. Olamide’s self-titled album reveals his evolution from the high-octane rapper of his early days into a more laid-back, pleasure-driven star. This shift is evident in the album's sound, which is populated by a more singing-oriented style, with "Billionaires Club" serving as a prime example of this newfound melodic flow. In a recent interview with content creator Korty EO, the YBNL founder and label boss openly discussed this transformation. He confessed that while he is primarily known as a rapper, his love for music is boundless, and he refuses to be restricted to just making hip-hop songs.
Olamide’s candidness in the interview provides a rare glimpse into the mindset of a veteran artist. He shared that while being business-oriented can sometimes make the creative process "a bit tedious," he would rather have a combination of both a sharp business mind and a creative soul than be limited to just one. This balanced approach is clearly paying off, as his latest album and collaborations continue to resonate with a wide audience.
