While leaving the court on Tuesday, September 2, the "Am I the Drama?" rapper was confronted by a reporter who asked her about rumors that she was pregnant with her fourth child, allegedly with her former partner, Offset. The reporter’s follow-up question, “Do you foresee any paternity issues with Stefon Diggs?” pushed Cardi to her breaking point.
Cardi B grabbed a marker from an autograph seeker and threw it, presumably in the direction of the reporter, before being moved away by her bodyguard. "Stop disrespecting me," she demanded. The reporter, unfazed, responded, "I still love you even though you just threw some stuff at me." But Cardi was not in the mood for jokes, replying, "I don’t care. You’re disrespectful, don’t do that. Do you see women asking those type of questions to me? Why do you feel, as a man, [that] you get to ask me those type of questions? Act like you have some manners. And your mama taught you: respect women."

The incident comes amid a wave of speculation from fans who have been wondering if the rapper is pregnant again. The rumors began after she made a swift exit from court on Thursday, August 28, in an oversized suit while seemingly holding her stomach. She also appeared to need assistance from her bodyguard, which further fueled the online chatter. The speculation was heightened by the fact that she is currently in court for a $24 million civil lawsuit filed by a former bodyguard.
This is not the first time Cardi B has had to address pregnancy rumors. Earlier this month, she went live on Instagram to shut down a fan who commented that she looked "thirty weeks pregnant." The rapper, who has been open about her struggles with asthma, responded with a frustrated and expletive-laden rant, telling the fan, "No, you stupid bitch. I’m just fucking out of breath ’cause I have asthma… Don’t put that s**t on me, bitch.”
