Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platinumz has angered Kenyans after he failed to perform at the Furaha City Festival despite being marketed as the headline performer.
The festival, organized by Baraza Lab, was one of the most anticipated music events of the year.
Diamond jetted into Kenya on Friday, December 6 together with fellow Wasafi artist Zuchu ahead of the event which took place at Nairobi Polo Club.
Besides Diamond, the event’s line up featured a diverse lineup of renowned Kenyan and Tanzanian artists, including Zuchu, Khaligraph Jones, Rayvanny, Ssaru, Mejja, Femi One, and Willy Paul.
Other musicians who were also expected to perform are Ssaru, and Kinoti.
All the expected artists performed apart from Diamond.
“Thanks Diamond for disrespecting your fans feelings at Furaha City Festival.Ipo siku utatuhitaji pia,” complained comedian Terrence Creative about Diamond’s no show at the event.

“Diamond has hurt our feelings,” he said.

It is still not clear why Diamond did not perform as it is said he was present at the venue.
