Kenya is buzzing with excitement as Boomplay announces the return of BoomFest, reimagined as a nationwide tour! The first concert kicks off in Nairobi at the Imaara Rooftop on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 4 PM until late. Fans can look forward to an electrifying lineup featuring popular artists Kareh B, Musa Jackadalla, Elisha Toto, Ayrosh, MC Jeff, and MC Pengle, all set to deliver unforgettable performances.
BoomFest is powered by Boomplay, Africa’s premier music streaming platform, in partnership with OPPO, the global smartphone manufacturer. This year, the concert will continue to embrace BoomFest’s original theme—Unite, Celebrate, and Embrace—but with an exciting twist. The first event in Nairobi will feature a thrilling fusion of two iconic traditional Kenyan genres, Mugithi and Ohangla, celebrating the rich heritage and cultural diversity of Kenyan music. The night promises a musical explosion, immersive activities, and a showcase of OPPO’s latest technological innovations.
Fans can secure early bird tickets via Triply:

Martha Huro, Managing Director of Boomplay East Africa, shared her excitement about the nationwide tour, saying, “The positive feedback we received after BoomFest’s debut in Kenya earlier this year has led to this nationwide tour. We are thrilled to continue celebrating our music and cultural heritage, and what better way than with a fusion of Mugithi and Ohangla at the first concert.”
Fredrique Achieng, PR Manager at OPPO Kenya, added, “We are excited to partner with BoomFest as we introduce our latest devices, including the innovative Reno12 series, the stylish A3 series, and the powerful OPPO Pad Neo. This collaboration underscores our commitment to celebrating music while enhancing the listening experience.”
Boomplay is focused on unlocking growth and development in the African music ecosystem, and this nationwide tour is a testament to their dedication. After the successful launch of BoomFest in April 2024, Boomplay is excited to bring this music extravaganza to more Kenyan cities.
