The Idibia family is at the center of a controversial crisis that has got Nigerian fans and media talking. Hyacinth and Charles Idibia, siblings of renowned Afrobeats artist Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, have lent their public support to their mother, Rose Idibia, as she makes claims against Honorable Natasha Osawaru, an Edo State lawmaker.
In a video that has quickly gone viral, Mrs. Idibia makes an impassioned plea, urging Natasha to "free" her son from what she describes as a harrowing spiritual entrapment. Mrs. Idibia accuses Natasha of placing her son under a spiritual influence that has led to his erratic behavior and contributed to his ongoing divorce from actress Annie Idibia. Instead of personal struggles being at the forefront of the couple's issues, Mrs. Idibia points the finger at supernatural forces allegedly orchestrated by the lawmaker. Her chilling assertion revolves around beads that she claims Natasha has bound around 2Baba's neck and arms. She believes this act is the root cause of his “mental distress”.
The swift action taken by Hyacinth and Charles Idibia has fueled the fire. They took to their social media platforms to amplify their mother’s startling assertions by resharing her video thus signaling their support for her narrative.
Mrs. Idibia's has since called upon mothers across Nigeria to unite in prayer for her son, drawing a parallel between his struggles and broader societal themes of spiritual warfare and familial duty.
