Gospel deejay Samuel Muraya, better known as DJ Mo, and his singer wife Linet Masiro Munyali, popularly called Size 8, have reignited their romance in a spectacular fashion, a Valentines Day marriage proposal. After announcing their separation last year and facing extensive public scrutiny, the couple's recent Valentine's Day reunion has been nothing short of headline news in Kenya's vibrant celebrity world.
On August 1, 2024, Size 8 took to Instagram to reveal the end of her 11-year marriage, stating, "Marriage sometimes works by God's grace, and does not always succeed," leaving fans in awe. This revelation had many pondering the future of their beloved couple, who had shared a decade-long journey filled with both highs and lows.
However, DJ Mo wasn’t ready to let their love story end on such a somber note. He romantically proposed to Size 8 again on Valentine's Day this year. The elaborate proposal was set against a backdrop of gleaming candles and heart-shaped arrangements. It also featured a luxurious silver Mercedes convertible whisking the couple away on a scenic drive.
They shared laughs and smiles and when the moment the question was asked, Size 8 did not hold back her answer. Dressed impeccably in matching blue attire with DJ Mo, she gleefully accepted the proposal thus rekindling hopes for a renewed commitment between them. “I feel like it was a second chance, and we’re ready to write the next chapter together,” Size 8 later proclaimed in a heartfelt follow-up video.
Critics, however, have voiced suspicions claiming the couple's grand gesture may be a strategic ploy to generate buzz around their upcoming single - a typical Kenyan way to make their creation trend. As discussions continue to brew online ranging from messages of support to accusations of clout-chasing, DJ Mo and Size 8 remain the most talked about celebrity couple in Kenya today.
