London erupted in a sea of red and white on Tuesday afternoon as the England Lionesses celebrated their EURO 2025 victory with a grand homecoming parade, culminating in a spectacular event in front of Buckingham Palace. While the victorious squad and staff basked in the adoration of 65,000 fans lining The Mall, the festivities took an unexpected and delightful turn, revealing a side of England boss Sarina Wiegman rarely seen in public.
The celebration, a meticulously planned spectacle, featured popular singalongs from the squad's repertoire, followed by electrifying performances from acclaimed artists like Heather Small and Katy B. However, the most resounding cheers and palpable excitement were reserved for a truly surprising and previously secret appearance by Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy. Known globally for his Afro-fusion anthems, Burna Boy is, remarkably, one of Sarina Wiegman's personal musical favorites.

Introduced to the stage by host and former Lioness Alex Scott, the surprise on Sarina's face was visibly evident as Burna Boy emerged to perform his smash hit song 'For My Hand'.
What followed was an unforgettable display of pure joy and uninhibited celebration. Sarina Wiegman, who famously refrained from dancing at the Trafalgar Square celebration following England's EURO 2022 success just three years prior, more than "made amends" on this occasion. To the immense delight of both the victorious Lionesses squad and the vast crowd gathered, she was seen enthusiastically "singing along and dancing with the artist," fully immersing herself in the jubilant atmosphere. Her reaction after the event perfectly encapsulated the moment, as she admitted, "I was very flabbergasted."
