Bien-Aimé Alusa Baraza, has made history as the only Kenyan artist nominated for the prestigious 2025 Trace Awards! Planned to take place in Zanzibar on February 26, this event promises to be a compelling one celebrating Afro music's rich moments and showcasing genres from Afrobeat to zouk and everything in between.
The Trace Awards will kick off with a two-day summit where creatives like artistes, managers, DJs, producers, and stakeholders from across Africa and the diaspora will gather for insightful discussions, masterclasses, and panels. This is opportunity is set to delve into the future of Africa's creative industries, technology, and branding, anyone passionate to about music creation should attend.
Bien has snagged a nomination in the fiercely competitive 'Best Artist Eastern Africa' category, facing off with significant talents like Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu from Tanzania, Joshua Baraka from Uganda, and Rophnan from Ethiopia. The Trace Awards, which has 24 categories of honors, are set to shine a spotlight on the continent’s most talented nominees from over 30 countries, and Bien is among them!
Aside from the numerous congratulations Bien has received from his fans, his wife and manager, Chiki Kuruka, too took to Instagram to express her pride and excitement noting the incredible potential of talent in the industry, especially in Kenya. The time is now for Afro music to take center stage, and fans are encouraged to go and support for their favorite candidate before voting closes.
